Ex-Bigg Boss couple's on-stage proposal lands them in trouble

Kannada rapper Chandan Shetty has found himself in a bit of a trouble after his filmy style 'proposal' to fellow ex-Bigg Boss contestant Niveditha Gowda on stage during the official Yuva Dasara event in Mysuru.

On October 4, Chandan went down on his knees for the proposal on stage at the Mysuru Maharaja’s College Grounds, in front of a packed audience. This was a state government-sponsored event, and Chandan's act has not gone down well with the government. Minister-in-charge of Mysuru district V. Somanna asked the police to issue a show cause notice to the couple for using a public stage for private use. According to reports, three other complaints have also been registered against Chandan and Niveditha.

Netizens are also divided on the same, with some questioning the outrage against Shetty. After kicking up a controversy, Chandan apologised in a video message. He said, "This was done purely for entertainment to keep my fans happy. But I had not informed the organisers about this."

Chandan and Niveditha were part of the fifth season of Bigg Boss Kannada.
