Kesari trailer: akshay kumar is back with a patriotic film and this time he's fierce

Akshay Kumar’s first release of the year will be another patriotic film in the form of Anurag Singh’s Kesari. The posters and the teasers of the film were dropped generously creating the right amount of hype around the film and successfully generating curiosity among the moviegoers. Now, the makers have just dropped the trailer and it's by far the most goosebump-inducing piece of footage you will see today. Kesari is based on the Battle Of Saragarhi in which 21 Sikh soldiers take on 10000 Afghan invaders. The trailer has patriotism written all over it and Akshay Kumar has nailed it as Havildar Ishar Singh.

The trailer begins with a powerful dialogue mouthed by Akshay, ‘Ek gore ne mujhse kaha tha ke tum ghulam ho, Hindustan ki mitti se darpok paida hote hai. Aaj Jawab dene ka waqt aagaya hai.’ We are then taken into the world of Kesari where there’s love, patriotism and war. The movie is mounted on a huge scale and that the trailer amply reveals. There are sequences that will give you stir you up and will leave you speechless. A special mention to action directors Parvez Shaikh and Lawrence Woodward (Mad Max: Fury Road fame) and Raju Singh for his amazing background score.

Kesari also stars Parineeti Chopra, but the actress hasn’t been given much scope in the trailer. However, we must say that she is looking pretty as a Sikhni. Produced by Karan Johar, Kesari is slated to hit the screens on March 21, 2019.
